
Madhuri dixit was an Indian actress, who is famous for her performance in the movies 'Beta' Saajan' and 'Hum Hain Koun . Her career started in the 1980s. Her fame was boosted by her performance as a supporting character in the movie Tezaab. Next, she appeared in the movie "Dil" where she shared the screen space with Aamir Khan. Born to a middle-class family in Mumbai and began learning dance at an early age. She began acting as a youngster and struggled for a few years, as the majority of her films at first ended up being flops. She was successful, and soon went on to be a leading actor in the Indian film industry. After her marriage was over, she took time off from acting before returning to the entertainment sector. Recently, she was featured in the film "Gulaab Gang" which focused on the struggles and triumphs of women from India. Dixit was nominated 15 times for Filmfare Awards. Eight of these awards she took home. The actress was also awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth most prestigious civilian award in India. Her social work is also something to be proud of.
